The Brief
HubSpot's Solutions Partners run a LOT of in-person events. These partner-led events are focused on both prospects and cross-sell/up-sell of existing customers. A frequent request is to have a "Why HubSpot?" overview video that they can loop in settings like demo booths at conferences.
After the initial kickoff, we came back with some style frames, a mockup in motion, and a clear direction forward. We wanted to go for a bold, simplistic look. Sophisticated text animations paired with minimal designs as metaphors to accompany and reinforce the message. Simple enough to be understood in a busy booth and provide value at a glance. They loved the proposed approach and we were off to the races.

The Work
We spent a long time in pre-production refining the look and feel of the frames. I worked with Odette Santos, who acted as Creative Director, as well as Bailey Hull, who wrote the script. We pulled key points from the slide deck the Partners team would sometimes put on-screen (in the absence of a video). Together, we fleshed out exactly the story we wanted to tell. It was snappy, confident, and positioned HubSpot as a strong choice for customers who wanted a fast, easy, and unified solution to unlocking their business' potential. The frames I designed were a reflection of that sentiment, and once the storyboard was approved by stakeholders, we moved into animation.

Reflections
This project was a great opportunity to apply everything we had learned in the recent rebrand. We went for a bold, sophisticated, and thoughtful approach to the design, which I think led to a really successful video. The stakeholders had almost no notes by the time our internal team had picked it apart, which gave me great confidence in our ability to discern what's needed as in-house creatives, and helped establish trust with the Solutions Partner team, who I had never worked with prior. If you made it this far, thanks for reading! Here's the finished video:
